Harland & Wolff was formed in 1861, and grew to became one of the world’s best-known shipbuilders. As well as RMS Titanic and Olympic, the company designed and built everything from luxury liners to HMS Belfast, which now sits proudly on The Thames. In 2021, when the company was bought out of administration and relaunched, Engage was commissioned to create a new film to celebrate 160 years of an iconic brand.
Engage conceived, scripted, storyboarded and produced ‘From Titanic to Tomorrow’, a compelling brand film telling the incredible story of H&W’s past and future, as a disrupter in the maritime engineering sector.
The film uses: innovative animation of existing assets from the company’s rich archive; original filming of the Belfast shipyard; existing footage from the company; and unique Computer- Generated Imagery (CGI).
Our film was met with wide acclaim, including from H&W’s core market – UK government and maritime buyers – with H&W going on to secure a £1.6bn contract to build Royal Navy warships. The film was used on the company’s website, at international exhibitions, on social media, at events, and for recruitment roadshows. Engage was further commissioned to create content for the company’s various shipyards and press and promotional activity.
